Debuting at No. 1 on the ‘Top Rap Albums Chart' this week is the comedic trio The Lonely Island with their first album titled Incredibad.

The trio, who ware well known for their Saturday Night Live skits which include "Dick In A Box", "Jizz In My Pants” and "I'm On A Boat”, scan 47,500 discs in their opening week. Incredibad features appearances from E-40, T-Pain and Justin Timberlake.

T.I. slides down to No. 2. Paper Trail shifted 33,300 units this week, pushing the album's total sales to 1,694,500.

Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III hits the triple platinum target this week. Tha Carter III, which sits at No. 3, passed the 3,000,000 sales mark by pushing 26,900 discs this week. The album's tally stands at 3,012,100.

Posted at No. 4 is Florida rapper Plies. Da Realist scanned 14,300 copies in its ninth week on the charts. So far, the album has sold a total of 269,600 discs.

Ludacris slips down to No. 5. Theater Of The Mind reeled in 12,200 units this week, bringing the album's total sales to 554,700.

Right behind him is Young Jeezy at No. 6. The Recession scanned 9,900 units this week. To date, the album has sold 775,400 copies.

Seated at No. 7 is The Notorious Soundtrack, The set shelved off 9,300 CDs in its 5th week on the charts. So far, the soundtrack has sold 107,500 copies.

Holding fort at No. 8 is Soulja Boy. ISouljaBoyTellEm ropes in 8,900 units this week, pushing the album's total to 134,800.

M.I.A. sneaks back into The Top 10 by grabbing the No. 9 spot. Kala rakes in 5,800 discs this week. The album’s tally stands at 450,000.

Wrapping up The Top 10 is The Game. LAX moves 5,400 units this week. So far, the album has sold 675,900 copies.

Debuting at No. 1 on the 'Top R&B Albums Chart' this week is India Arie with her fourth solo album titled Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics.

The set, which features appearances from MC Lyte and Musiq Soulchild, scanned 75,500 discs in its opening week.

Debuting at No. 2 is Bobby Valentino with his third album titled The Rebirth. The set shifts 64,100 units in its first week out.

Beyonce slides two spots to No. 3. I Am...Sasha Fierce shelved off 53,900 discs this week, pushing its total to 1,842,100.

Posted at No. 4 is Jamie Foxx. Intuition continues its steady grind as it shells out 40,000 discs this week. After 9 weeks the album has sold a total of 618,100 copies.

Kanye West slips two spots to No. 5. 808's & Heartbreak reels in 36,700 copies this week, pushing the album's total to 1,327,900.

Right behind him is Keyshia Cole at No. 6. 32,000 folks picked up Different Me this week, bringing the album's total sales to 698,100.

Seated at No. 7, Ne-Yo continues to keep cash registers ringing as Year Of The Gentleman hustles 29,100 copies this week. The album's tally stands at 905,500.

Jennifer Hudson holds it down at No. 8. Her self titled album lugs in 25,500 units this week. After 21 weeks, the set has sold a total of 621,000 copies.

Holding fort at No.9 is Rihanna. Good Girl Gone Bad sold 24,500 copies this week. So far, the album has sold a total of 2,371,000 copies.

Wrapping up the Top 10 is Ryan Leslie with his self titled debut album which scans 23,800 copies in its opening week. The crooner's album features appearances from Cassie and Fabolous.

NY Post Under Fire For Obama Cartoon; Rev. Sharpton Threatens Ad Boycott

The Reverend Al Sharpton has condemned a cartoon in today’s New York Post, which features two policemen shooting a monkey and making a comment on the recently passed stimulus package.

The imagery, created by cartoonist Sean Delonas, features two police officers, one holding a smoking gun over a blood-spattered monkey that has been shot two times.

The caption above the cartoon reads: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”

A sign in the background reads “beware of dog.”

The cartoon is an apparent satire of yesterday’s news that a 55-year-old woman in Connecticut was critically injured, when her 200-pound pet chimpanzee went on a rampage and tore half her face off.

The chimp was eventually shot dead by officers on the scene.

“The cartoon in today's New York Post is troubling at best given the historic racist attacks of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys,” Rev. Sharpton said in a statement released to the media. “One has to question whether the cartoonist is making a less than casual reference to this when in the cartoon they have police saying after shooting a chimpanzee that ‘Now they will have to find someone else to write the stimulus bill.’"

Sharpton noted that the stimulus bill was the first legislative victory for President Barack Obama, the first African-American president in United States history.

“Given that the New York Post cartoonist came under heavy fire in the past for racially tinged cartoons including the infamous cartoons depicting 2001 mayoral candidate Freddy Ferrer and me in very unflattering ways that were used as a divisive campaign tactic, one cannot ignore their history when one finds out what they could possibly mean by this morning's cartoon. The Post should at best clarify what point they were trying to make or in fact reprimand their cartoonist for making inferences that are offensive and divisive at a time the nation struggles to come together to stabilize the economy.”

Additionally, the cartoon comes almost a month after Johannes Mehserle, a white transit police officer, shot and killed Oscar Grant, an unarmed black man, in Oakland, California.

The cartoon, which was on page 12 of The Post, has made national headlines.

During an appearance on MSNBC this morning, Sharpton requested that The Post comment on the story, or face a possible advertising boycott.

“If I or any civil rights organization printed in our literature anything that was offensive or inferred a stereotype against a group, they would be telling people don’t donate to us, don’t support us,” said Rev. Sharpton.

Sharpton led boycotts in May of 2008, when three detectives were acquitted of shooting and killing Queens, New York native Sean Bell in a hail of 50 bullets in November 2006.

“You can’t do this and then turn around and act like you’re an objective paper that’s fed all of your readership,” Sharpton said.

At press time, The New York Post has yet to comment.
